The actress was on BBC1 this morning around 08:45, not only did they have her they had a counselor?

They talked about what was happening in the show and what has happened in the "real" world?

I did not really catch it but may be if you want to hear what was said, I'm sure it's on "hear again "

:ugeek:
Too many years fighting the tears, Why can't the past just die. Try to for give, teach me to live, give me the strength to try. No more memories, no more silent tears, no more gazing across the wasted years, help me to say. Goodbye"

She seems to be a decent enough actress. Her male mannerisms are well observed and not too obvious.

I don't honestly think you could use a trans actor to play this part. At that age it would probably require someone to play the part whilst doing their own transition and who on earth would want to do that? How many trans people are well enough in control to become a decent actor by such an age...? I'd be interested to know if there are any suitable actors in the world. Whatever happens the small numbers of trans people mean that we are unlikely to find someone who matches the needs of the part, and at rock bottom most trans people just want to blend into the background and live their own lives which means the numbers willing to act, or put themselves forward in any other way will always be quite limited. The relief you feel post transition is so great that you just want to hide yourself away and be normal.

I hope the girl doing the part makes a good job of it and that the character develops. They seem to have rushed straight into this storyline - I think it would've been nice to give her a couple of other plots first in order to establish viewer sympathy.
