Upon recently discovering that I'll have to got an employer's signature as part of my RLE, I've became concerned about how being self-employed might disrupt the process. I understand I can also get similar backing from voluntary work, but the work I already do for charity is done remotely and I don't expect to have much extra time available to work everyday at some other location (especially with a baby on the way).
What other solutions are there for someone in my position?
Thanks again in advance for all this input!
Transition while Self Employed
Re: Transition while Self Employed
Phew! That's a weight off my mind!
The way I had understood it on the other thread on here is that your employer had to vouch for you to ensure you weren't slipping back into a male role. It certainly sounded like overkill to me, and quite insulting. I'm glad that's not the case.

Re: Transition while Self Employed
Thanks for clearing that up for me. I feel I should hurry up and get my name changed now, but I have plenty of other things to handle first.
