One of my old "almost" jobs was databases and setting up the rules for data entry. I hope the person who set up the database for your GP / NHS area realised that pretty much everything can change in a database :)

We are just a (primary key) number.

Mine's done fine. I go to the self service, it asks if I'm male or female and away we go.

The only thing I did get was a form saying I was not suitable for cervical cancer screening. Fair enough,

I was in a clinic recently. There was a transwoman who was "pretty obvious" and attracted some looks. I'm currently having electrolysis - just because I'm wary about the effect of sun on the face after laser. I have had a lot of laser on the face and don't want issues with the sun (whereever it is). I am a very outdoor person so prefer the joy of electrolysis.
