I don't have any direct URL links, but look on YouTube for video tutorials.
If you search for "The Smokey Eye" then from there you will get links to other make-up tips.

Hello everyone,

I am a freelance make-up artist wanting to share my expertise with anyone who is interested in asking a question about make-up application techniques and products. Just wanted to join the forum and share some knowledge with you all if your happy for me to do this.

The reason I have joined the forum is that I have had personal experience with a family member and two very close friends who have/are in the process of full transition from male to female.

My cousin (now a retired police officer) had reassignment surgery two years ago and has never looked back. This was initially a very difficult time for her, especially as she had to pursue a transitional change from male to female within her work environment for some time before the operation could be granted.

My cousin faced all the adversity in addition to the prospect of being isolated by her long standing close friends and relatives. She persevered through this difficult time and I was behind her all the way. She battled through the darkness and the conflicts and now she is complete at long last. She has broken free from the chrysalis and has blossomed into her true self. I love her to bits and always will. So very proud of her, her strength, resilience and determination to break free from those restraints.

My cousin has become my best friend and was shocked to hear that I too had another best friend whilst living in Bristol, who had also gone through reassignment surgery; but this had happened prior to us meeting. We are still very best friends to this day, even though we live miles apart. She is there for me and I for her.

Anyhow, I wanted to share those experiences with you so you can understand that I have a personal understanding of the difficulties faced by the transgender communities. I am far from an expert and have never experienced anything close to what my cousin and best friend had to face; but equally I am far from ignorant to the issues.

I have friends within the transgender community and have offered my services to assist with make-up lessons and application techniques. I am not classing myself as a specialist in this field, I just want to offer some tips to anyone who struggles with make-up application as I enjoy sharing information and in addition meeting new friends. :-)

For those who are curious and wondering if I am wanting to drum up business you could not be further from the truth. I'm offering free advice and nothing more to anyone who would like it. I may not get any response to this, and that's ok too, because it means it is not needed.

I want to thank you for taking the time to at least read through this and if you have a query please do ask and I will try my very best to help.

Best wishes to all xx
Most places obviously would prefer you to have experience (As anywhere) but if you really do have a passion for makeup (like me and you) i think it would shine through in an interview:) Good luck! x
