Launch Night

Well she finally made it it took 3 years of 'Get Lauren into Big Brother' and here she is!

Lauren is a Marmite person in that you will either love her or hate her.

Much of her life is already in the public domain from child 'know all' on antiques on Terry Wogan to the headlines when she had GRS at 22 y-o. To the very destructive 'Little Lady Fauntleroy' Keith Allen Documentary (Google it), to her last few years as a pundit on Big Brother's Sister Show - conspicuous by her absence this year - and this is why!

She is in the house for a few weeks (if she is lucky) let's see how it goes.

I will keep you updated every day here during that time.

It has been interesting watching the Television Shows since Lauren went in.

For two reasons really -

1. How often people get all flustered about or even purposely avoid mentioning Lauren as they fear they may say something non-pc.
2. When they do mention her they usually make a mistake.

So lets take a look at the first. I noticed on a number of programmes Wright Stuff, Lorraine, even 'This Morning' that had Emma Willis as a guest earlier today. They all avoided mentioning Lauren apart from Dan Wootton (thei resident Friday Celebrity Journalist) on Lorraine and he got in a right mess here is the transcript of that...

Dan Wootton - "Lauren Harries - The Sex-Change Antiques Expert!"
Dan Wootton - "You might not belive it now but she used to be Aled Jones...Erm Terry Wogan's Expert Antiques Dealer!
Image (Image: ITV).
Presenter - "Aled Jones?!!!"
Dan Wootton - I was thinking of Child Prodigies - I am obviously not comparing him to Lauren Harries...

So This may happen a lot in the next few days as more daytime shows talk about her. I'll keep you posted. There is an important distinction between laughing with someone or at them for just existing. Also 'sex-Change' will likely be said a lot. Its a term the public understand.

So this is quite an interesting way to gauge just how competent the media is talking about transgender people regardless of if they 'Like' Lauren or not.

It does expose a rather worrying concept that if presenters are worried about slipping-up and this is in part down to the pressure we as a community, this website and other groups like Trans Media Watch may be seen to put upon them to get it right, they'd rather simply avoid mentioning transpeople altogether as that is far easier than saying the wrong thing and getting the wrath of the community. This demonstrates a dire need for media training for all these presenters so they can speak on air with confidence.

But hey thats for another time...

For now we have the delightful Lauren Harries who despite her tough persona I feel is a misunderstood soul who has had to face terrible transphobia in her life - I didn't like her back in the day but she seems to have changed - we shall see - I have definitely warmed to her. Her early years as a child prodigy made her a lot of enemies for some reason, many assuming she was this arrogant little sh*t who deserved a good slap... And this has happened she has been seriously assaulted at her family home and we all remember the bruised face looking back from the tabloids when it happened, she was practically destroyed by Keith Allen (Lily's Father) in his documentary about her. Yet somehow she managed to keep clawing herself back. This has only been possible because she

reinvented herself as a bit of a fashionista and reported for Big Brother.

It is interesting that this year I thought Channel 5 and Endemol may have avoided transpeople as they have maybe over-indulged last year - especially with Luke Winning. But They again have played a blinder. Channel 5 and Endemol again have ripped victory from the

jaws of defeat and again are one of the few channels to feature actual transpeople beyond medical curiosity or documentary fodder.

I am pleased this is the case, and it is why Channel 5 top our television awards every year - they do not have this happen by chance they have to think it through and plan all this, this to me shows considerable maturity and when all the other channels finally catch-up - and they will if I have anything to do with it - just remember Channel 5 carried the weight whilst they finally got the message. Channel 5 is growing into a good channel since Richard Desmond bought it I hate to say it but not all media barons are idiots - for now at least.

Lauren entered the house last night with cases full of dresses - she loves black, and the first three housemates were immediately shoved into the 'Temple' by Big Brother unbeknown to the rest of the housemates that follow the first 3, namely Louie Spence. Lauren Harries and Model Sophi Anderton will get to choose who will be up for eviction this week. They had to wear robes and in the 'Cult of Celebrity' they will get to monitor the other housemates.

The housemates this years run as follows

Z-listers and a few d-listers

WOMEN

Image
(Endemol)

CAROL MCGIFFIN - The one who was married to Chris Evans and now Loose Woman - the one who says she looks like a 'Tranny' with Make-up and we have reported her a number of times saying transphobic comments - hmmmm?...Wonder if Lauren will set her straight here?

CHARLOTTE CROSBY - MTV’s Geordie Shore - described as perhaps the most disgusting reality star in the UK. Boasts about defecating and urinating the bed amongst other things.

COURTNEY STODDEN - Famous for marrying a an actor 35 years older than her and lives in Beverly Hills - never heard of her.

DANIELLE MARR - Reality star of 'Dublin Wives' - Who? This is to satisfy the Irish viewers I guess.

LAUREN HARRIES - aged 10 she was a little smarty pants that made a generation of parents wonder why their kids were not on telly showing off :) Later had her surgery and became Lauren aged 22. The rest is as they say history.

SOPHIE ANDERTON - Model - been around for donkey's years, ex drug addict, and now goody two shoes who lectures on not doing what she did, however, her life is sadly what many young people want, she has adorned countless magazines, photo-shoots, and been on every reality show and its sister, plus she still looks pretty good despite it all.

VICKY ENTWISTLE - Married to Les in Coronation Street so her and Bruce came in as a couple.

MEN

Image
(Endemol)

ABZ LOVE - ex boy band singer from the band 5ive - he says, in there for the money.

BRUCE JONES - Les Batterersby from Coronation St - recovering from alcohol. Hit rock bottom and now on his way back.

DUSTIN DIAMOND - Screech from 'Teen series 'Saved by the Bell' I remember him went on to make a porno... he says it made $300,00 dollars - who am I to argue? Seems like a nice guy though so maybe thats why he has done so well with the ladies? He says 2,000 of them have succumbed to his charms.

LOUIE SPENCE - Darlings - mega-camp Pineapple Studios Reality Star Louie will pirouette to order and leg stretch to the wall to demonstrate his flexibility, but when he 'switches off' will he be boring?

MARIO FALCONE - TOWIE bad boy.

RON ATKINSON - Ex Football Manager and Television Pundit - This has not as yet been raised but his fall from glory came about when 'BIG RON' foolishly made a comment about a black player Marcel Desailly in 2004.I suppose this is in part why there is an all-white house. This year?

---

Big Brother's Bit on the Side.

BBOTS

Went well apart from This years BB winner Sam calling Lauren and 'Osterich' - could be worse.

More tomorrow!

THE BIG TWIST (LIVE)

So Lauren Sophie and Louie are in the secret society cult - the secret of celebrity.

DAY 1

We see the BB House side tonight where all the housemates arrive.

Lauren Harries is described as 'Former Child Prodigy'.

Louie Spence I suppose historically has worked with women all his career as a dancer/choreographer, and is not backwards in coming forwards when talking about the body. And reminds me of Gok Wan, in the way he uses 'GAY licence' as an excuse to what I personally would feel would be inappropriately touch women. If he touched me like that he would never hear the end of it!

In light of all the celebrity scandals recently, to watch Louie touch Lauren's breasts seemed just too forward and, were this not the Big Brother house and were he not well known would this be acceptable say in the street? I do not think it would be. And this is what has driven the scandals recently, Well known people using their fame as a way to say and do things that us mere mortals would likely get arrested for! I will give the reasons for this later.

The Cult of Celebrity had to choose one member of the house to face eviction and chose Rona Atkinson by handing him a bottle of Champagne they all entered separately as if to suggest they were in isolation mortals. Reminds me of giving the 'Black Spot' to a pirate. Kiss of death 'n' all that.

There seemed to be a lot of objectification going on in this episode, primarily based around the LA celeb COURTNEY STODDEN, They were all calling her everything from a gold-digger, to a doll, talking about her breasts - Louie calling them footballs. Her voice being shrill lead to a number of rather cruel remarks. Louie for a gay man seems to spend a lot of time debating the female body? I find this odd.

When it came to choosing the person I found it interesting that Lauren chose Carol McGiffin, I wonder if Lauren has been following our views here?

Loose Women
22/03
ITV1

She says when she dolls herself up

"I look like a transvestite!"
Laughter from audience
Denise buts in - "We've all had that said!"
Then Jane MacDonald mentions, "that there is nothing wrong with that!"
Carol quickly puts up her hands and says in a sing-songey voice - "Nothing wrong with being a transvestite!!!"
[WELL WHY SAY IT THEN CAROL? IM]
Denise - My dad is a drag queen and my Ex Husband is the transvestite in Benidorm - Laughing - "You don't dis my dad!"
Carol - "Its not right if you are a woman! You are already a woman!"

To be honest I think she should find another metaphor - this is going nowhere and just opens a can of worms.

---

Carol has been reported here as saying these things and the 'tranny' comment here viewtopic.php?f=16&t=931 was unforgivable for a broadcaster of her standing. She has been doing it for years! If it gets a laugh then don't do it!

Anyways moving on, Lauren chose McGiffin - coincidence? She said I do not think we will get on!

So watch this space, maybe this is something Endemol have read here, I know they visit! So perhaps they have thought hmmmm, Carol known for her trans misdemeanors and Lauren? Could this be a way to rescue Carol and turn this around I do hope so as apart from that I do like her style - she is gutsy like Janett Street-Porter.

Image
(Image: Channel 5/ Endemol).

Lauren - "I think Carol could come across as a bit aggressive though!"
Louie - "Do you?!"
Lauren - "Yeah - I am not looking forward to meeting Carol."
Sophie - "No honey, she will be charming!"
Lauren (SHAKING HER HEAD) "No! Oh I dunno?"

---

Lauren Chooses Carol - "I picked Carol because I think she's really miserable ... and I do not think we are going to get on!"

Image
(Image: Channel 5/ Endemol).

Image
(Image: Channel 5/ Endemol).

Image
(Image: Channel 5/ Endemol).

Image
(Image: Channel 5/ Endemol).

Upon entering the house first with a cake - "Hello Carol nice to see you..." If only she knew?

Image
(Image: Channel 5/ Endemol).

Image
(Image: Channel 5/ Endemol).

And Carol immediately lets loose a dig at Lauren.

"Oh you are so tall! What have you got on your feet GIANT SHOES?!"

Image
(Image: Channel 5/ Endemol).

It dawned on her in this reaction as you can see, but Lauren moved on and said yeas very high...

I think that was a far more Freudian comment, TALL, BIG FEET? Within one second of meeting her? No one else said it. You do the math.

Everyone else said, "nice to meet you, thank you for the cake."

Big Brother's Bit On the Side - the sister show where they discuss the main show directly afterwards.

This was a little bit of a worry and I will explain why and this also plays back to the earlier comments.

Rylan asked who would you really like to have been up for eviction.

Bobby Norris - (The Only Way is Essex) - "If I woke up 3 o'clock in the morning and saw 'that' across the room! That is the biggest HASHTAG SH*T THE BED I HAVE EVER SEEN!"

Image
(Image: Channel 5/ Endemol).

As you can see the laughter from some panelists (Holly and Bobby) fortunately not all, as the panelist to the left Patrick Strudwick was supportive of her.

Cruel and unnecessary. Transphobic reaction nothing less.

However .... rescued it on balance with this comment.

Image
(Image: Channel 5/ Endemol).

Patrick Strudwick - Lauren is the best housemate Big Brother will ever see! For years I have been saying Lauren Harries needs to get into the house, and finally producers have listened, even though I didn't actually say it!" To be fair I think some others have also wanted it too.Patrick writes for major newspapers and is at has some emotional intelligence. Thank goodness for him being there else it would have been lambs to the slaughter!

Holly Hagan (from MTV series Geordie Shore). - "She's scary, I don't know what she's thinking, she doesn't give any emotion away"

Image
(Image: Channel 5/ Endemol).

Fear of a transperson for existing - is transphobia.

Bobby Norris - "It is like Madame Tussauds in it!" [IT?]

Louie Leads the conversation, So Lauren is just sat there and this is how he manipulated the conversation.

Louie Spence - "Where have your t*ts gone they were massive last night?.."

Lauren Harries - "No here they are." and just lifts them lightly through her nightgown - as we all would.

Image
(Image: Channel 5/ Endemol).

Louie - "Oh there's your girls," in a rather creepy way to be honest.

Lauren - "Yes..."

Louie - "What are they are they sillicone?"

Lauren - "I never tell..."

Louie - "Oh c'mon darling..."

Lauren - Half asleep, "They're real..."

Lauren then pushes them together and says they were pushed together - meaning uplift bra - Then Louie leans across and starts touching them. Like its perfectly acceptable to invade someone's space because he is apparently gay, although the way he was grunting and breathing whilst he did it kind made me feel more like watching some predator. See for yourself.

Image
Louie - "There is some silicone in there..."

Image
(Image: Channel 5/ Endemol).

Lauren - "I am not saying anything you can come to your own conclusion." Meaning she is behaving like a lady and keeping that to herself.

Later...

Somehow he managed to get other issues out of her namely the surgery.

Louie - About her surgery - "The willy?"

Lauren - "It was used for the operation."

Louie - "Oh yeah cos they turn it inside out don't they!"

Sophie - "Really?"

Image
(Image: Channel 5/ Endemol).

Louie - Then Demonstrates the technique with his hand (pictured), "Then they put it inside, doesn't that determine the depth?"

Whilst using his thumb and forefinger as a measurement.

Lauren - "Yeah - you can have a very deep vagina..."

Louie - "So you have to have a big willy then?" This is bringing it back around to it all being about male.

Lauren - uncomfortable - "I don't remember." Shaking her head.

She should not be asked this on national television, as he asked how deep Sophie Anderton's vagina is? She is sat there.

Lauren - "But I know I have got a deep vagina..."

Louie - "Oh so you had a BIG WILLY then..."

Image
(Image: Channel 5/ Endemol).

Lauren looks a bit dazed. I think it dawned on her what just happened.

It cuts back to the studio...

Image
(Image: Channel 5/ Endemol).

Rylan - "They had a very deep chat - biting his lip..."
AJ - "Very Deep!" Makes a face.

This seemed to me like a very predatory investigation and Lauren was clearly tired and changed for bed. What can she do?

If she stood up and said "HOW DARE YOU TOUCH ME WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU ARE!!!" I would have, and went to big brother and said

I have been sexually assaulted what would have happened?

This sends out the wrong message to people in the streets as if it is OK to press the breasts of a transgender woman by a complete stranger and who the f*ck is Louie anyway? He is all said and done just 'Some guy' in a house? And then to go on and extract intimate information about your sexual organs.

I am beginning to wonder if Carol is the one to watch, this whole 'Gay Licence' thing is clearly a concern not least in BB but outside with people like Alan Carr and Paul O Grady and others, who have used the term tranny for laughs countless times - we have it here on record - we keep all video clips as we may have to prove what we say!

At least when Luke discussed his genitals it was on his terms - he made the joke a Reebok Pump to his very good friend in there and outside - I have the clips.

But we at least do not have to prove this this time when it is being streamed to your TV and you have photos - what more can I say it is ONLY Day one.

Lauren has been mocked, abused, humiliated, told she is tall and has big feet, had her genitals discussed, spoken to about her maleness (her penis), inappropriately touched without being asked, and had transphobic comments on Bit on the Side, Emma Willis (the old presenter) wouldn't have allowed that had she been there - people have tried in the past and she cut them down in an instant, New presenters Rylan and AJ did. But Rylan is Gay too so I don't know something is askew. And it is somehow more acceptable to behave like this.

VERY DISAPPOINTING PROGRAMME! I felt Lauren was in a vulnerable state and was well... you decide for yourself.

She just wants to enjoy the experience and probably makes allowances for curiosity - thats fine, but it should be her choice, not have it removed from her in some creepy manipulative way as that's how it seemed to me.

As for the Bit on the Side programme - quite deflated! I hope they read this and reign it back in!

Re: Celebrity Big Brother 2013 - Lauren Harries

Postby Ice Maiden » Sun Aug 25, 2013 2:17 pm

Well there are three shows today to take a look at Celebrity Big Bother's Main Show Channel 5 The Saturday version of Celebrity Big Brother's Bit on thee Psyche where they analyse the housemates with psychologists, and finally the Sunday Lunchtime show hosted by Rylan Clarke.

CBB DAY 2

Better content, and unlike Day 1, it showed Lauren leading the conversation, this is quite important as content and clips can so easily affect how she will be seen. They can edit her badly or well.

Carol McGiffin explained to another Housemate why Ron Atkinson was in there, on the stairs she spoke in whispers and then repeated what he said that got him fired from Sports commentary - namely the 'N-Word' when describing a black football player.

Carol was then called to the diary room and officially warned - what an idiot! She is the same with the trans comments so it looks like she has a problem with negative labels?

Image
(Image: Channel 5 / Endemol).

Lauren - I have been celibate for 6 years...
Louie - 6 years?
Sophie - I don't think I could do that.
Louie - No I couldn't!
Louie - How long have you had your vagina?
Lauren - 15 years.
Louie - So it has been used?
Lauren - Yeah.
Louie - Yeah...

Image
(Image: Channel 5 / Endemol).

Lauren - The thing is though I had such bad reactions from men, cos they were transphobic, Louie - where did you have it done?
Lauren - Do you know I was on so much medication, I cannot even remember the hospital.
Sophie - I think times have changed though now! I do believe that. You know, I think people are becoming more acceptable...and much more...

[COMMENT - IF ONLY SOPHIE KNEW THE HALF OF IT - I think people like her like to think the world is like that and the viewers actually can fool themselves into believing this generation are cool with all these things, but for the most part people are still NIMBYS (Not in my back yard) thats not a euphemism, rather it is a case of its OK at a distance, on telly or Big Brother, "I just do not want 'that' as a daughter or daughter-in-law or next door neighbour, thank you!" And that's the greatest hurdle of all. The day when a transperson gets no attention for being trans, and is seen purely on their merit as a human being. Well, sadly, I think this planet will be dust in the asteroid belt. The way Lauren has been described and shown in just two days demonstrates that].

Lauren - Yeah but sometimes, cos I live in Cardiff, It's a bit more small-minded.
Louie - They all know you there now though, do you know what I mean?
Sophie - In London they wouldn't even blink an eyelash!

Image
(Image: Channel 5 / Endemol).

Lauren - I mean I love Wales, I love Cardiff, I love the people in Cardiff, but there are some people who will say - TRANNY!
Sophie - Well sod them!
Lauren - I have even had bricks through the window.
Sophie - Well I hope this experience will...
Lauren - Yeah, I just want people to see Transgenders as people rather than a name.
Sophie - No, I agree with you. At the end of the day, you can't help the body you are born in.
Lauren - No, no.
Sophie - You know...
Lauren - That's right, and I want to be, to be here for other transgenders, you know if I can do it...
Sophie - Well it takes a huge amount of guts and courage, and my hat goes off to you.

Image
(Image: Channel 5 / Endemol).

Lauren - Well thank you...

Image
(Image: Channel 5 / Endemol).

Sophie - And you know something? Everyone is going to see how lovely you are, and it only matters what's in your heart, I can already tell that.
Lauren - Awww... Well I am just... I am quite placid.

Louie - you are f*cking loop the loop but I love you...

[Comment - This is a passive-aggressive comment. Even is she is out of her depth with all these larger-than-life characters and a bit 'shell-shocked' (for many that house has an affect on them) or even if she has some other medical ailment (many transpeople are are the autistic spectrum). Loop-the-Loop suggests she is crazy. Transpeople are still treated under mental health services, so the irony here is she has seen more psychiatrists than he has and they say she is sane. Where is your evidence and files to prove you are Louie?]

Image
(Image: Channel 5 / Endemol).

Louie again ends it on a sour note. Isn't it funny that we know nothing about his genitals, his sexual practices, his relationships, when he has sex and with who, his medical history. And I think he genuinely sees himself as above Lauren on the scale of things.

Truth is he is in there too, and does anybody take Louie seriously. Some may say he is someone people laugh at as he 'camps about' - a 'turn' to make other people smile at his absurd leg lifts and doing the splits to order, like some kid who has had too much sugar wanting attention, and then the parents have to ignore them to move on. I think he is not so different. The only difference is he asks the questions and gives very little away about himself. And then cuts people down if he finds them beneath him.

I just get the feeling he is a bit nasty under all that showbiz facade.

Lauren made some important points above - points of value that were sadly ended with Louie's last word.

1. Important message - that trans do not do this to get laid! 6 years? I know some who have NEVER had sex in their life before or after surgery, as before, they felt like a woman without a vagina so why would they? They didn't want to be desired as a man, and after surgery they feared transpanic and violence as Lauren has experienced. So it is definitely not to be some failed homosexual wanting more sex.
2. She explains how she has suffered transphobia, and criminal damage and name calling - she used the word TRANNY! Shame Carol McGiffin was not in earshot - there is still time as she needs to learn that too.

You can Say No to Transphobia right here on our Facebook pages.
http://www.transgenderzone.com/newimage ... popfb.html

Lauren made some very important points there calmly and carefully. The editor should not have included Louie saying she was 'loopy' as that nullifies everything she said, as the viewer may well have bought into it at that point, and then thought again as they consider what Louie thinks, that she is mad, so no wonder she has not had sex, and had bricks through her window she is a 'nutter'!

And just because Louie had the final word.

BBOTS (BBBOTPsyche)

Fortunately they tip-toed around Lauren tonight, No Rylan on this show as he is preparing for his Sunday show, but broadcaster and 'jack the lad' Iain Lee steps in. He has had his moments in the past especially with laughing at Luke. Luckily they went easy on Lauren tonight - but there is still time.

Image
(Image: Channel 5 / Endemol).

Only slip up was Dr Funke who gave a snapshot of Lauren's life saying she has had to be strong to get where she is [in the face of such media vitriol (lets hope BB do not add to this!)] but she did say she had a SEX-CHANGE at 22. I can see why she used the term as it is easily understood by the general public, but a mental health professional should have perhaps led the way here using better terminology. Like :

"Lauren Transitioned in her late teens and had her surgery at 22."

Image
(Image: Channel 5 / Endemol).

We all know what that surgery was and if viewers do not (she explains it in this episode above!) then go look it up they all have Wikipedia on their smartphones.

Dr Funke - "I still see that vulnerability... She hasn't really positioned herself well in the house and she kinda switches off, she has already said she doesn't like Carol... For what reason I don't know... But [Lauren] is showing she is not very comfortable in the house.

[Comment - I think we already know why she doesn't like Carol read above!]

Image
(Image: Channel 5 / Endemol).

We have the term 'SEX CHANGE' as key words here on tzone and that is there because people search that term, however it is actually not a good word to use in this educative context and by Psychologists with PHDs!

Transpeople are not 'changing' who they are, their fundamental 'sex' that is set at birth is a hard wired brain sex in this instance. Its easier to change genitals than it is the brain - on a hierarchical structure Brain is boss! So that brain remains the same no matter what happens elsewhere. So all that is happening is some 'corrective surgery' there is no 'sex-change' but some may beg to differ - thats usually people around the individual who judge everyone by appearances. A psychologist who should judge everyone by how their mind works should know better really - not the end of the world but just something that needs addressing.

RYLAN'S SUPERSIZED SUNDAY

In the last series Rylan 'adopted' Jackie Travers as his pet housemate (Google her) - she was the mother of a Jackie another housemate. The mother-daughter pair went in, although evicted separately. Now, As she was a dancer and a very good one in her day, it showed a clip of Jackie Dancing, and for fun they overplayed OOMPAH music over it and Rylan danced along. I think in this instance it helped Jackie survive longer than she should have coz she was Rylan's favourite.

This year it at first appears something similar is happening with Lauren, however, this time he is copying her voice for laughs, they then used her comment about 'who wants the cake' when she first came in holding a gift (see above). I thought he was doing a Cilla Black impersonation at first, then it suddenly dawned on me he was mocking Lauren Harries' voice.

Image
(Image: Channel 5 / Endemol).
Rylan Does Lauren's Voice.

Again this is very dodgy ground, as I have said previously, they are picking at her body like a vulture, and very little is left to mock. Now they are doing her voice. I know just how difficult a topic this is for many transwomen, it is key in passing as a woman, it takes a lot of work and effort and disappointments to get it to a place where you can not be read as male. For trans men their voices break with Testosterone so this is not an Issue Luke had, Nadia did suffer a similar abuse by people mocking her however with her it was more the accent than her femininity.

The fact Rylan can do her voice, is kinda saying something to the public in a round about way.

They then went on to use that same recorded line as a comedy buzzer in the competition quiz towards the end of the show, at first it was 'funny' in a an uncomfortable way, anything repeated that's abstract like, "do you want the cake," no matter who said it would be funny. But then it went on just a little too long. And past the joke and into some laughing at her voice rather than what she said. Rylan did her voice again.

Buzzer with Lauren's voice on it. They all laugh each time it is pressed.

I am concerned that Rylan maybe a dog with a bone with this one and not let her go, I suspect if he is not made aware of this by next week this will recur. So I hope it gets back to normal. He has had a laugh about her voice now give her a break?

Then They show a clip of a brush being stuck into the hair of one of the housemates Danielle that will be on tomorrow's show, but unfortunately Lauren was helping her with her hair. The brush got stuck, I do not think it was Lauren how can it be? But again Lauren has become the clown. And Rylan then says - "I'd rather have the cake (in her voice) than have her do my hair!" Which gets another studio laugh.

PHOTO - Even with help of two other girls - they struggled with the brush too (shown) - but Lauren got the flak.

It could simply be that the brush was too stiff and it got jammed in hair extensions!

It is giving the impression she is incompetent. I would like the producers and editors to find something that shows her as a bit of a winner or in a more positive light, as she may well be evicted next week so she needs some positivity, or shown actually helping somebody out (she was trying to help Danielle here but it was turned around to make her look a fool) and this is bordering on bullying. As earlier they showed her exercising speeded-up and after she felt a bit dizzy - who wouldn't? But again they all laughed at her routine in the studio.

Positives - Amy Childs (guest) said, "she loved Lauren," and said, "she was glamourous."

Say what you like about Lauren she has a slim figure and some sophisticated 'Hollywood Premier' Classic style dresses. She has really been bombarded with abuse and ridicule all her life even as a kid before all this came about. I myself have questioned her behaviour sometimes in the past when she was on 'This Morning' (ITV1) etc but that was in part down to her bad timing promoting her 'One Woman Show' during a medical debate - that got her banned by Phillip '@Schofe' Schofield - than being a mentally ill.

It is only day two and this all looks a bit worrying don't you think? Big Brother needs to sit down and have a little board meeting with the team and say OK we have had our fun with Lauren lets give her a break now! If they don't its not going to end well. Nadia had a breakdown after similar treatment in Ultimate Big Brother when it was on Channel 4 and attempted suicide. Do Channel 5 want to undo their so far perfect score card with Transpeople by their own hand?

Re: Celebrity Big Brother 2013 - Lauren Harries

DAY 3

There were some fun moments, I think Lauren has some guts to wander around in stockings, stilettos and a baby doll nighty. This very much reminds me of Nadia in 2004 who went on to win the show. When she famously showered in high heels. However, the person wearing this I think has to be non-threatening to do so and for it to work.

I cannot say if this will win her friends or annoy viewers. I have seen and read some quite nasty things written about her, from her having a 'scr*w loose', to being 'out of it', I read somewhere somebody call her a 'Michael Jackson', not in the way she can sing but all the negative things and body dysmorphism and odd demeanor.

Truth is I just think she is misunderstood, and maybe there is a lot more to Lauren than meets the eye. She has managed to keep a media career going since a child. She has transitioned in the public eye. She has suffered terrible abuse and continues to do so. I cannot see anything she has done wrong other than 'annoy people' for being alive. She speaks of transphobia, I think we should feel more protective of her as a community. She is a very 'girly-girl', but is talked about very differently in hushed tones. I hope this boosts her public image and see her as someone quite fragile and sensitive - rather than a clown. I think 'Big Brother' is an ideal platform for her, not least she loves the show anyway and was a regular pundit on it but also she can earn a few quid whilst she does it.

This is an entertainment show all said and done, and Lauren, it has got to be said, so far, has entertained us! JOB DONE!

Courtney says (in the Diary Room) she loves Lauren and is a good person to share a bed with as she doesn't snore and shares the same interests (fashion, make-up and glamour).

Lauren now changes outfits 3 times a day.

But in this photo we again see this odd behaviour from Louie.

Louie 'Lurking',

Lauren - I will change again in and hour or so...

Louie through clenched teeth - "great I am really looking forward to it!"

What has it got to do with him what Lauren wears and when? Maybe he thinks she is getting more camera time? Very nasty. Standing there watching girls getting dressed then making some vitriolic comment again. I have met people like this in the past. All facade to the point of sinister. Again. Yesterday he was heard in the toilet to be touching Courtney's breasts.

Am I the only one here who can see all this happening? And that somehow being gay justifies it? - this is worrying to me.

The thing is when 'Jedward' went in and changed outfits constantly, they were loved, Jedward are to me very similar to Lauren in their personalities. They come from a slightly different angle to the mainstream, and that is their 'hook'. But the are treated like fools, well in that case they are millionaire fools who have a media career many could only dream of and have represented their country at Eurovision and have Children's Television shows on BBC as we speak. I think maybe we are the fools :) After all, they would not be as interesting if they were like everybody else.

The irony is those judging her in there, have life catastrophes of their own and as long as your arm, failed marriages, drug addicts, alcoholics, people who have won and lost fortunes, gold-diggers and apparently racists.

And amongst all that we have Lauren who by contrast has not hurt a fly, and people are calling her odd? I think the psychologists and housemates need to take another look at the data! Or are they all simply ever so slightly transphobic?

Carol, Sophie and Vicky sit on the bench observing Courtney and Lauren.

Carol - Look at her, look at her hahahaha. She has put something else on!

Image
(Image: Channel 5/ Endemol).

Charlotte - (arms folded, usually a defensive body language) I am sorry it is fascinating me!
Carol - They are such girls!

Image
(Image: Channel 5/ Endemol).

Vicky - Laughs

Charlotte - Courtney looks amazing [avoids mentioning Lauren], like a little barbie doll.

Vicky - her waste is as big as my thigh.

Image
(Image: Channel 5/ Endemol).

I don't think there was any malice here as far as I could see, but it is borderline if you read it.

Vicky I think was the only one who enjoyed watching Lauren as fun and girly, in the same way I do, the others I feel have something more going on.

The Task was a game where they had to decide what the public felt was most interesting about them.

'The Cult of Celebrity' chose another housemate - this time they chose Danielle - with some pressure from Louie. They have one more choice to make tomorrow.

No bit on the side show tonight as Rylan does it lunchtimes on Sundays.
