Note* you will have to use your google chrome or Firefox Browser for this!
Hi as you maybe aware Photobucket have broken many image links across the net on forums. Angering many users of the service and seen as ransomware as they are now demanding a large fee for remote linking. This of course means that the images will remain broken. However there are fixes. Many will not care and are not here for that but a lot visit for library reasons to research old media stories and like to see the photo screen grabs.
You can read the full story here on The Verge website if you are interested.
If you see this image below in a thread you can simply add a browser extension here (client side as opposed to server side) to fix the issue for now.

Our ongoing options are the following
1. We have all the images backed up in a directory on this site. However, it would take some time to work through all the forums swapping them over.
2. You just read the text.
or
3. The best choice for now you download and install a Google Chrome or Other browser extension (free) and all the images will show again. So you fix it rather than us.
Here again is the link to the one I am using https://chrome.google.com/webstore/deta ... aedg?hl=en it works so go grab it they have extensions for other browsers see that page.
Note it may require a refresh of page and or clear of browser Cache to access images.
Exension details
The extension doesn't access your data on websites, nor passwords. It needs the permissions to access the urls to detect photobucket links and fix the request to keep the images working as before.
ICE MAIDEN NOTE
Use the official Google Chrome Addons Page if you are worried. And go to your extensions menu in your browser and disable the extension after use again if you are ultra cautious (just as a precaution).
