Reminds me of all the women and trans*men who joined Nelson's Navy,

There was a good documentary about those that were 'found out' some did a speaking circuit and became celebrities of the day - nothing changes in that regard :)

The old saying SHOW A LEG in the bunk was not only I suspect to ensure prostitutes, children (althogh they did have cabin boys and powder monkeys kids up chimneys etc) and stowaways didn't sneak aboard and hide in bunks but to also check out the fellas! Hairy legs helped! lol
