Maybe they don't like me?
My care has been atrocious...
In fact if I could turn back the clock I would not hesitate to avoiding the NHS altogether.

Re: Hormone Prescriptions - whats yours - how bad is your ca
I don't visit the forum very often which Is why I seem to be replying about 6 months late .
I could write reams about the shambles which was my treatment, but I shall try to concentrate on the hormones.
By the time I made it to Charing Cross I had been full-time (although there never was a part-time) for 4 months and obviously ticked all the boxes as I was told that I would be prescribed hormones if the results of a blood test were OK. They were, and 8 weeks later my GP received the letter instructing him as to what my prescription would be.
So it was Premarin (7.5mg daily) and Androcur (at some level I no longer recall).
I was surprised on my second visit to Charing Cross that no tests were done on my hormone levels. My third and fourth visits were pointless as on both occasions the appointment had been postponed and I hadn't been told in time, and after that I didn't bother anymore. I went private (which blew the electrolysis budget ).
Meanwhile, my GP had been taking blood samples for liver function as instructed by Charing Cross, but I have no idea if my hormone levels were ever checked. These checks ceased when I moved to London, the new GP being completely uninterested to the extent of just giving me a repeat prescription and never checking anything at all.
Post-op I followed the surgeon's instructions (can't remember how long I was off the premarin) before starting again and then gradually reducing the dose to what I felt was the right level. At no point did I ever had my levels checked until this time last year. I finally persuaded the GP that my levels should be checked: I suspect that this was because I was in a rather poor emotional state at the time and there was a suggestion that my hormone levels might be implicated. The results of this test indicated that things were OK, so I have just carried on as before.
At no point in the 20+ years since first approaching my GP have I seen an endocrinologist and I have effectively been self-medicating for most of that time. Getting help from my current GP** has been very difficult and as the blood test results showed everything was OK I can't see that changing. Part of me was hoping that my hormone levels were all wrong so that the chances of actually seeing someone with more knowledge would be greater.
Alas it was not to be, so I just carry on taking the premarin, currently 0.625mg daily.
(** In the 12 years I have been at my current GPs surgery I have never seen the doctor I am registered with. It is the sort of surgery where unless you make an appointment three weeks in advance you get to see whichever doctor or nurse practitioner is available on the day, which does not help with any continuity).

Re: Hormone Prescriptions - whats yours - how bad is your ca
And to highlight the point about my GP's surgery:
I am usually given 6 months' supply of premarin but I am never given a repeat prescription, having to see a GP each time I need a renewal. I was unable to get an appointment at all yesterday. Not good, as I had miscalculated how much medication I had left. As a result of my explaining this to the receptionist I was told that the duty GP would 'phone me and write the new prescription when I explained what I needed. The premarin would be ready for me the day after (i.e. today).
So I collect my prescription after work today: wrong size (1.25mg vice 0.625mg), wrong dosage rate (2 per day vice 1 per day) and wrong number (84 vice 168) .
Back into town tomorrow, then, to be calm and rational and point out some errors .

Re: Hormone Prescriptions - whats yours - how bad is your ca
I have no idea - I feel really unwell atm, headaches, pains here and there in joints, flushing, no sex drive, upset stomach, night sweats I have no proper care, no response from Iffy Middleton at Charing Cross, not even a get well soon or some other guidance - NOTHING! No response to letters to GP. Despite almost begging for a referral to a local endocrinologist.
I have no idea what my bloods are or should be as I have never seen or been given my results in 10 years at Charing Cross. Or had any discussion about them with my Gps practice, or Dr Seal. I had a blood test about 6 months ago but that was for some 'check-ups service' they were running for everyone at my Gp Practice (was sent a bag to get one), suffice it to say thats the last I heard of them.
Its like a third world country for me. I do not understand it?
Its like I am a ghost or do not exist or something.
It is really come to something when I am asking what others here are taking post op and will have to ask my GP to prescribe that without any tests or idea if that is right or wrong for me.
Seriously what a f*cking joke this all is!
Upsetting and making me ill!
