When you join the tzone forums a few things happen

IMPORTANT - AVOID USING FREE EMAIL ACCOUNTS TO ACCESS THIS FORUMS - DUE TO SPAM THEY ARE FREQUENTLY BANNED - YOU CAN TRY BUT IF YOU READ THIS EMAIL IS NOT ACCEPTABLE THEN YOU WILL HAVE TO USE ANOTHER

Advertising or Spamming
Important do not join this forums just to promote your business, this is a community forums and people who post a few times just to give their website URL will simply be edited and warned and have limited access imposed - no pms no emailing no signatures allowed etc. If they continue they will be banned. If you want to advertise click here People sometimes do mention products goods or services but they tend to be forum members with many hundreds of posts under their belts or are moderators who are exempt from this ruling

1. The first is you must supply a valid email account - preferably not a free account as they are subject to being used abusively and can become banned from time to time - IF YOU USE GMAIL, HOTMAIL,YAHOO PLEASE TRY TO USE AN EMAIL YOU PAY FOR - The one that comes with your ISP package is best.
Ensure if you use Hotmail (we prefer you use another email provider) that tzoneteam (at) aol.com and transgenderzone.com is on your safe list - if TZT emails are blocked your account will be deactivated - as all bounced emails are sent to TZT sadly there is no way around this and we cant carry bounced emails - most bouncing occurs from 'watching topics' and being notified of private messages - if you use hotmail then please avoid notifications in your profile settings - THANKS

2. So if you use the email account that you internet service provider gives you - one that you pay for to access the internet - then this will probably be fine.

3. So you choose a nick name - do not use one that's offensive

4. Assuming that you find something you like that's not already in use you can then submit your application for review

5. During this time you should be sent an activation link to the email account you provided - this is called double opt in - to stop people joining other peoples email accounts

6. You copy and paste the link UNBROKEN (so its one long link) into your browser and click go or press enter and it should connect you to this forum

7. Then your application will be checked out and either accepted or denied - if you have followed the rules above then it should be accepted

8. Check back after a few days to see if you have been activated

If after 2 weeks you hear nothing and have done all of the above email tzoneteam (at) aol.com

and we will do it manually

9. Remember to always check your spam folders as sometimes these activation emails can be dumped by you without knowing

10. Images

Avatars must not exceed 100 x 100 pixels and should not be animated - it is distracting and can create a fussy and unreadable forums

images should not exceed 250 x 250 (preferably Smaller) if you wish to post more than one image please use hyper linked text to the images (urls) please do not post strings of multiple images - one then a list of links will suffice

AOL:

* If you do not receive our confirmation e-mail in your Mailbox, look for it in your 'Spam' folder.
* To ensure that our messages reach your Mailbox: add transgenderzone.com and aol.com to your safelists.
* If you find any of our messages in your 'Spam' folder, click the 'This is Not Spam' button to remind AOL that our emails are not spam.
* If you are missing any emails or notifications always check your 'Spam' folder.
