I hope my post is appropriate for this forum. I am in my late 60s and still in my male body I discovered I was in the wrong body at the age of 10 but there was nowhere to go for help and advice at that time.When I was 14 I was involved in an incident with the police whilst cross dressing which naturally caused great concern for my family and resulted in me having to undergo phychiatric treatment, including electric shock treatment to cure me, along with chemicals to reduce my libido. After that my natural inclinations and desires were securely locked away. Surgical gender realignment was not widely and option in those daysI eventually married a very wonderful lady, had 2 wonderful children and grandchildren. The world has the percetion that I am a perfectly happily married hetero sexual family man. The reality is that I have had to "let the genie out of the bottle" secretly and discretely many times over the last 50 years. I believe that I am now too old to undergo a journey would have happily taken many years ago. I learned a long time ago that I am bi sexual but these days I am definitely more strongly attracted to those who have, or are taking the transition from male to female. I would love to be able to join a group and meet up with others to chat and form long term friendships who accep that my status will not change. I have visited many gblt pubs and clubs but frankly these are not ideal venues for me at my age - I prefer a nice cup of tea or lass of wine in a quiet environment these days. My online searches only appear to throw up "she male escorts" and I do not wnt to go down that route. I live in the Bristol/North Somerset area. Is there anywhere you can recommend where an "old closet qu*er" can meet and interact with MtF people?

I am sorry to ave rambled on a bit but simply writing this has been extremely beneficial.

I am slightly younger than you and understand how things were at that time. Sad to hear that you got pushed into the aversion therapy etc.
