And exchanges are now starting to open to trade it for 'real money' (whatever that is?).
This is the tipping point. As traders want to make money and people who want doegcoins to 'tip' friends and service but can't be bothered to mine them need somewhere to buy them! If that trader buys them for a international currency for one price and sells them to a person who wants to buy them he (or she) takes a little off the top for themselves and they too begin to speculate on them growing in value.
The Dogecoin only started a couple of months ago, and the tech nerds like me and others across the world who watch twit.tv saw them grab this and run with it. I did too.
Now thay are already starting to get a little more difficult to mine and their value is low (for now) but this means younger people have jumped into this as a meme.
Recent reports like http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/dogecoin-value ... ns-1436085 show interesting trends and we only have to look at Bitcoin to see what can happen (thats currently worth £500 each) - yet in 2009 were as easier to mine as Doge!
So if you have 10,000 doge and in 2 years they are worth just a fraction of the bitcoin today lets say, I dunno? £20 each? Thats not a lot compared to bc yet WOW MUCH MONEY! Well you do the math!
Again My suggestion is to mine them and then save the wallet datfile as a back up every day and see where this goes. If nothing comes of it then it was fun... However if this is the next Bitcoin and it may well be you may well be thanking me when you buy a new house in 5 years!
But the longer you leave the harder it is going to get - early adopters make the money in this as it starts out like a pyramid scheme until it levels. But all it costs you is your graphics card calculating when you pc is idle!
Even if they are only ever worth a buck each - thats quite possible - then it is 10000 doge may buy you GRS! Think about it what have you go to lose?
Don't get too excited (FOR NOW as doge us worth only pennies atm) I have some litecoins and they have about £30 value but thats because I don't have many LOL If I had 100,000 of em I would be on a beach in Barbados! LOL

Even the title has Doge in it! That was January the 6th! And I was a few weeks behind the launch even then!
