Startpage tends to be dumped in with bloatware and spyware apps. I had a toolbar arrive without agreeing to it and manually removed it. I dunno seems a bit forced.
They clearly are paying software companies to bundle this in and then paid per search.
Google is still the best. Privacy is best on Tor Browser and Bing actually as Google detect Tor and insist you keep filling out captchas as they think you are a rogue bot.
Bing seems more cavalier.
