The first album I ever owned was by the Muppets!
The first album I ever bought myself, was Prince Charming by Adam and the Ants.

Don't remember my first album - may have been Adge Cutler and the Wurzels but I remember my first single: Squeeze - Cool for Cats. Quite pleased with that

Sometime in the late seventies, I got my first, very own LP; A Date With Elvis (re-issue of course ). I'm no longer a bog Elvis fan I have to admit.

Hi - Everyone I'm a newbie and am just roaming about the boards and came across this - my first real album was City to City by Gerry Rafferty even now 'Baker Street' runs through my head and causes goosebumps to raise - slightly off topic but concerning posts about 'Oh what a lovely war' there is a touring company currently going through the UK for the next three months - I saw it in Greenwich at the weekend and it was Fab - just four guys who sing dance and play their own instruments....with a back projection of news reels and information about the huge scale of it all - all those wasted lives...
However - a real theatrical event and well worth seeing. :makeupx:

“May I be happy. May I be free from fear. May I have ease of being and know my true purpose in this life. May I have peace whatever life brings.”

Oh hi Kriss and welcome!

Baker Street gives me goosebumps too. I was in Oh What a Lovely War at school. It's a wonderful musical.
