New... simple starter questions. Ftm

Postby Becks942 » Wed Nov 30, 2016 5:19 pm

In short. I have always felt like a male. But shifted from the idea of doing something about it. Always wanted a penis and to make love to a woman and feel what I always felt like I should feel. With that said one of my first questions is have you heard of people having the penis surgery with out having to take T? In short again I want to identity as a woman still but sexually perform as a man to my partner.

There are cases of trans*men stopping T yest still identifying as male. Most notably those that want to give birth.

If you mean full hysterectomy, and phalloplasty, testicular implants etc etc but never taking T, then I personally cannot see why this should be an issue?

It is something you would need to discuss with your gender clinic specialist really. Many have a 'road map' that requires you to obtain certain stages, before they will agree to a referral for surgery, and as Phalloplasty is SO EXPENSIVE compared to vaginoplasty in Transgender women, then it is not something they take lightly. There is of course a risk that they may see you as not fully committed to being a man. But your version of a man is gender variant, and as time goes on, the 'establishment' (or WPATH) are beginning to understand that you cannot fit all gender types into a neat little box. Gender variance is exactly that. A fluid and changing dynamic concept, that is constantly evolving. And you would be just part of that evolution :).

Speak to a Psychiatrist at a Gender Clinic and see what they say - please let us know how you get on.
