Just a quicky this time as I am so behind with reviews and logs.

Hayley's wedding dress looked beautiful - of course it would.

They went to the wedding and Roy and Hayley looked at each other fondly remembering their nuptials.

The Big story is Hayley's son turned up (again) for a loan of £5,000 to help him out of debt, fizz accidentally said to him that Hayley is dying, so seizing the moment, he returned and said Hayley could see her grandchildren - he blamed Hayley for his life saying that his dad failed him and he (meaning Hayley) should pay some recompense (compensation) for all the years she missed. In fact this kinda a fair point and Hayley and Roy could see what he was doing but both agreed that he probably did deserve many decades of Christmas presents and missed birthdays - so five grand was a bargain at half the price! They spent a lovely afternoon together with the grandchildren who were naturally straight out of the central casting 'adorable' section. Cheque in hand and signed Christian was off - for now at least. I wonder if he will be back for the will reading?

Thats it short n' sweet!

Coronation Street Omnibus ITV2 21/12

Not much Hayley this week. She and Roy set up the Christmas Tree - Roy remarked that it had a low needle-drop. LOL thats quite good writing actually as it shows what he looks for in Christmas LOL.

Hayley and Roy put up their last Christmas Tree together! Sniff! :( :|

Roy takes his driving test and seems to have done a very good job of it. The instructor asked him to reverse. And he said, "not yet." And a cat walked by. The Dexaminer was impressed. His emergency stop nearly put her through the windscreen LOL. Of course this is all going to changed soon when Hayley passes. Rest assured we will blog till the 'end'.

Coronation Street Omnibus
28/12
ITV2

Hayley's last Christmas

Roy failed his driving test - he was disappointed because it was Hayley's legacy - at least in this soapland its reality. They always pass in other soaps ;P

So Hayley has been having 'Chemo' - not working through. She sees the specialist and is told in no uncertain terms that she has only weeks rather than months left to live.

Image itv

Hayley - I am not even 50!!! As she smashes up the tree at home after the news!

She goes into the Kubler-Ross stages again. Her acting was very good. She told Roy she wanted to go to the panto, but in the foyer she broke down in the queue, those in the queue had no idea why this 'weird woman' was crying and were saying, "c'mon luv you are holding up the queue!"

Image itv

"You are holding up the line, its curtain up in 5 minutes! Do you want tickets or not?!!!"
Roy - "Um...Its my wife...um just a minute!"

Awkward! And a very moving moment! A bit like if someone with Alzheimer's soils themselves in public, and the frail wife cannot cope. It is at those moments we all need to find a place in our hearts to step forward and be sensitive and help. Played beautifully here by Roy (David Neilson).

This is an interesting observation about bad news and loss, that the day after the world carries on yet for the individual the world has changed forever, or this person is no longer there!

The day before, they had a lovely Christmas Day at the 'Cafe' (closed of course) with her god child, and Fizz, and the gang. She went to the pub and on the way home talked Roy into a snowball fight, The locals even dressed up two snow 'people'? to look like Roy and Hayley. They had melted by the morning!

Image itv

Sinister? I thought it was like the party clown with a knife - this image felt scary! - but meant to be fun. Hayley liked it! That coat on Roy was stolen from Norris - the next day it stank of dog! LOL

Hayley is now getting the pale panstick foundation treatment and is increasingly tired and frail - not long now! :( :|

Hayley has come to terms with her remaining few weeks, increasingly frail she has had friends around to chat in her bedroom.

Her humanist funeral is planned and Roy is increasingly worried about when she will top herself.

Remember Hayley has stated she is going to end her life before she is unable to - but this could be a twist. I fear Roy may end up doing this for her and be charged - makes for a better story in 2014?! It is certainly topical as many have taken part in assisted suicide.

Hayley says she will tell him when she is 'ready' and not surprise him.

But this is cold comfort for Roy who just feels helpless. :shrugs: :noway:  :|

Strawberry Gate!

Hayley has died and left the show - we will see this happen on the Final Scene 20th Jan. Julie has moved on to The Royal Exchange in Manchester in a new play called 'Blindsided'.

However, this week Hayley has stopped eating and the doc has upped her meds.

Image itv

The only thing she can eat are Strawberries, after Fizz and Tyrone did a platter of titbits and treats that was the only thing she could consume without feeling nauseous.

They dance to a bit of Dusty (Springfield).

They run out and Roy ends up fighting over a punnet in the deli.

Hayley laughs when she finds out Roy was trying to make a run for it with a Punnet -"Funny word init punnet!"

Roy - "I am glad you found it so amusing!"

So a bit of light relief and clowning around. One thing was clear was that Roys face changed when Hayley raised with the doctor when she asked, will these new meds make her 'out of it'. This is the point where Hayley said she wants to part this mortal coil!

So 9 days to go for Julie in Corrie (short of any flashbacks or ghosts at Christmas).
