On the whole they and the NHS do a good job I think despite the pressures they are under.
I wholeheartedly agree Caitlin - in my experience, the NHS has been wonderful (then again, I'm not going through the process with CX :noway: ).
.....the more I think about it the more I think it really cannot be blamed on anyone else but the one who has made the decision to seek out surgery they are adults and not forced or tricked into doing it.......
Absolutely Jenni - the psychs are there to help us through the difficult journey WE decide to embark on. They aren't shackling us and forcing us to undergo 2 years of RLE, at least a year of HRT, numerous assessment with various specialists followed by a little cosmetic surgery ;) :o . We choose to undergo this lot - to enable us to move forward with our lives as we believe we should have been able to from birth [yesss] .

My understanding is that the GICs generally do a pretty good job, CX being the exception. I've seen people excuse them on the basis that they're over-burdened, being the default GIC, but they're paid per patient (and a pretty hefty amount too) so it's not really much of an excuse.

Overall, I'm a big supporter of the NHS, but there is a problem with an almost total lack of accountability, especially with the admin side of things, so when things go wrong, it really sucks.
