Thanks Tamsin, I will ring the passport office and see what they say. A Hi Phaedra What did the passport office say? I too may be going aboard for surgery, so hopefully the before and after face should be more than a little different !!! Would a letter from your surgeon help on the return journey? ...

Thank you all for your help and great advice. I hopefully follow the NHS voice route to start with - I guess like getting rid of facial hair it's a case of starting as early as possible and keeping going.
