Access to benefits in the trans* community survey

Post by RainbowResearch » Thu Jul 21, 2016 11:18 pm

We are doing a survey into trans* and non-binary access to benefits (specifically PIP). There is a lack of research in this area, and it is badly needed. The DWP itself does not collect statistics or equalities data, or train frontline staff in trans* awareness. Josie is a researcher at a Welsh university, and Edith is a welfare rights worker with experience of working with trans* people. We both identify as LGBTQ.

We have had a really great response so far, but really need your help to publicise this research and get as many people as possible to complete the survey. In particular, because our research has so far been predominantly in Wales, we are very keen to reach the wider trans* community.

We would really appreciate it if you could publicise and share the link to our survey. Many thanks. Edith & Josie (Rainbow Research).
